Support from our University to the National Afforestation Day Campaign

We participated in the National Afforestation Day event held on November 11 every year across the country by planting saplings at different points of our Osmanbey Campus.

According to the presidential circular; To protect and sustainably manage our forests, which are of great economic, ecological and social importance, and for our future generations; In order to make our country healthier and more livable, with the support of our nation, it was deemed appropriate to celebrate 11 November every year as the national forestation day.

As the Harran University family, a sapling planting event was held on November 11 at 11 am to support the National Afforestation Day.

In this context, hundreds of saplings were brought together with the soil by academics and students in the activities held in the Osmanbey Campus Rectorate front garden area, the central cafeteria side and the old lodging areas on the lake side.

The tree planting event was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sabri Çelik, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hancer and Prof. Dr. Murat Demir, our Secretary General Zübeyir Zorlu, Deans of Faculties, Managers of Vocational and Higher Schools, academics and students attended.
