Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank made the collective opening of 37 projects with a total investment amount of 33 million TL, which were implemented with the support of Konya Plain Project Regional Development Administration and Mevlana Development Agency.
Minister Varank, in his speech at the Mevlana Development Agency (MEVKA) and Konya Plain Project (KOP) Regional Development Administration (MEVKA-KOP) Karaman Collective Opening and Signing Ceremony, expressed his pleasure to be in Karaman. Stating that they have implemented comprehensive support programs and made effective investments in all 81 provinces, Varank said, "We have provided more than 15 billion liras in support to more than 24 thousand projects from the public, civil society and private sector through our 26 development agencies. Noting that they continue investments and projects for all provinces of Turkey without slowing down, Varank said, "The investment amount of 37 projects in Karaman, which concerns many fields from education to agriculture, from rural development to tourism, is over 33 million liras. IRRIGATED AGRICULTURE

CONTRIBUTION TO THE ECONOMY
Explaining that while they focus on agriculture with the KOP Regional Development Administration, they also work with Mevlana Development Agency on social development issues, Varank said, "Mashallah, both our Mevlana Development Agency and our KOP administration are competing for good. As of today, they are starting new projects that will serve the development of our city. Two good news from here. I would like to share with you. I approved the projects submitted to our KOP administration for 2022, which will contribute to the economy of Karaman, before I came here yesterday. In this context, we will bring 6 more projects with a total budget of 16.3 million liras to our city. Two of them are also related to irrigation infrastructure. Approximately 12 million "With these projects, which have a budget of TL 167, we will bring 167 hectares of land to more modern irrigation systems. The other 4 projects that our administration will support are aimed at plant production and animal welfare." he said.
TOURISM POTENTIAL
“Continuing with the good news of our Mevlana Development Agency, our agency is also launching a new project together with the Special Provincial Administration that will carry the tourism potential of Karaman forward.” Varank said, “With this project with a budget of 10 million liras, superstructure and landscaping arrangements will be made in Karadağ Değle Ruins and Manazan Caves, two important tourism regions in the province. Thus, these areas will be opened to tourism, and more tourism income will be obtained in Karaman. We will hold the signing ceremonies of these projects, which I have given the good news on behalf of both of our institutions, here in your presence today."
MEETING WITH WORKERS
Varank met with the workers in some of the facilities that the collective opening ceremony visited in Karaman OSB.
After chatting with the workers and officials at the Duru Bulgur Pulses Packing Facility, Minister Varank helped a worker carry a sack and then visited the Toprakçiler Machinery Manufacturing Facility.
Varank later moved to automation firm White Rose.
Varank, who received information about the factory from the authorities, examined the electric auto charger produced by the company.
