Sezai Karakoç Commemoration Program Organized by Our Theology Faculty

“What did Sezai Karakoç tell us?” organized in cooperation with our Faculty of Theology and Aydın Young Club. The conference was held with the great interest of the students.The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Prof. Dr. Ekrem Bektaş, Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. Celil Abuzer, academics and many students attended.Conference Dean of the Faculty of Theology Prof. Dr. It started with the opening speech of Celil Abuzar.After the opening speech, Literary Author-Writer Saadettin Acar, who knew Sezai Karakoç closely and has a history of a quarter-century with him, explained the world of thought of the late Sezai Karakoç. He said that Sezai Karakoç is a world-class poet, that he touches today's people with great influence, and that his value will be better understood in the future. Stating that Sezai Karakoç's Muslim identity is ahead of his poetry, Literary Writer Acar; “He opened new horizons for us with his poems. Sezai Karakoç is a pioneer. It has opened the door for us to meet our civilization heritage. After that, we have great things to do. We and the younger generations should read the books and life of the master well and apply them to our lives.The program ended with the presentation of plaques and gifts to commemorate the day.
