SURPRISE MEETING WITH YOUTH

A new invitation has been added to the surprise iftar invitations of the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank. Varank, who came together with the young people who answered the call from his social media account at the Great Çamlıca Mosque Complex, visited the Museum of Islamic Civilizations in the complex after iftar. Emphasizing that they trust the youth a lot, Varank said, "We know that it is the Teknofest generation who will realize their dream of making the Republic of Turkey one of the world's top 10 economies." he said.

After Minister Varank hosted two university students at the Togg Gemlik Facility during his visit to Bursa, the eyes were turned to the second invitation. “I invite a group of my young friends who will respond to this tweet, first to iftar in the Anatolian side of Istanbul, and then on a short tour of the history of civilization. Thousands of young people responded to take their place at the iftar invitation.

GREETING TO THE JOY OF RAMADAN

After Bursa, the address of the second meeting was Istanbul. Young people, who never knew each other, came together at the iftar time at the Great Camlica Mosque Complex.

Varank surprisingly participated in the Ramadan Joy program, which was shot in the courtyard of the mosque and broadcast live on TRT 1. Varank said in the program, “We made a call from social media. We called the young people. We will have iftar with the youth. Then we will visit the Museum of Islamic Civilizations.” he said.

Varank had iftar with nearly 60 young people. In the surprise fast-breaking meeting, iftar menu consisting of soup, iftar meal, meat saute, rice and gullaç was served. Commenting on the iftar event, Minister Varank said:

We took two of our student friends to Togg's test drive. We decided not to forget our young brothers and sisters in Istanbul in order to spend Ramadan more fruitfully. One of the young people who took the floor at the iftar meeting in Çamlıca, Marmara University Mechanical Engineering student Taha Kadir Mısırlıoğlu stated that he saw one of his friends responding to Minister Varank's tweet on social media, "I said try my luck. Minister Varank and the youth visited the Museum of Islamic Civilizations in the Büyük Çamlıca Mosque Complex, which was opened by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Young people were informed about the artifacts in the museum by the museum officials.

The Museum of Islamic Civilizations, which is located in the Great Camlica Mosque Complex and has a closed area of ​​​​10 thousand square meters, contains approximately 800 works selected from the collections of the Topkapi Palace and Palace Collections Museum of the National Palaces, the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum, the Istanbul Archeology Museums and the Foundations Museum. taking.

In the museum, there are artifacts that bear the traces of 1200 years of history, many of which have not been exhibited before. Kaaba door locks, talismanic shirts, sultan's robes, Fatih Sultan Mehmet's childhood notebook, Ottoman period coins, sultan's swords and many other works attract the attention of visitors.

In the museum where contemporary techniques are used, videos and interactive touch screens are also used. The power of water and its place in life are explained in the "Ab-ı life installation" as an indicator of the importance that Islamic civilization ascribes to water.

A special study was also carried out for the acoustics of the museum. For the first time in Turkey, a mineral fiber ceiling covering was used to absorb sound in a museum. By making the sound distribution of the parts homogeneous, the mixing of the part sounds with each other is prevented.
