WAPES 12th World Congress Held in Estonia

The 12th World Congress of the World Association of Public Employment Agencies (WAPES) was held in Tallinn, Estonia, between 25-29 April 2022.

Under the chairmanship of our General Manager Oğuz Kağan Güldoğan, our Deputy General Manager Dr. Pürnur Altay, Deputy Head of Foreign Relations and Projects Department Oğuzhan Küpeli and Employment Specialist Begüm Kandemir attended.

On the first day of the congress, at the general assembly meeting held to determine the countries that will carry out the presidency and membership of the board of directors of the Union between 2022 and 2025, the İŞKUR delegation participated in the voting on both the election of new members and the approval of the previous term activities of the union on behalf of our country.

On the second and third days of the congress, a series of panels and country presentations were held under the theme of "Challenges and Innovative Actions for Public Employment Services in the Rapidly Emerging Labor Market". access to information was obtained.

Finally, İŞKUR delegation, who had the opportunity to meet with representatives of many public employment institutions from different parts of the world during the congress, exchanged information on current practices and new collaborations that could be established in the coming period.
