25 FACTORIES, 4 PROJECTS 320 MILLION TL INVESTMENT

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank stated that they opened 25 factories with an investment amount of 320 million TL and said, "These factories, which produce in many fields from machinery to textiles, from food to construction elements, provide employment for 650 people." said.

Minister Varank made the collective opening of 25 factories and 4 projects in Çorum Organized Industrial Zone (OSB). Emphasizing that they, as the Ministry, support the investors on the one hand, and undertake important projects on the other, Varank said, “Almost all of these factories were established by obtaining an incentive certificate from our ministry. Thanks to these documents, they benefited from attractive advantages. Considering the added value they have made to Çorum and our country, it is a fact that they deserve this support until the end.” he said.

4 IMPORTANT PROJECTS

Explaining that they brought 4 important projects with a total budget of more than 8 million TL to Çorum with the support of the Central Black Sea Development Agency as well as the incentives, Varank said, “Today, we are also making the official opening of those projects. Thanks to the Çoruminia, Veli Paşa Inn and Çatak Nature Park projects that we have realized with Çorum Municipality, we contribute to the development of tourism. We are establishing employment workshops with the 'Strong Women, Powerful Youth Project', which we also support within the scope of SOGEP. Thus, while raising a qualified workforce for the industry, we also increase female employment.” used the phrases.

Stating that they continue to make new investments in Çorum and Amasya, Varank said, “We have opened 20 factories in Merzifon that will be the dynamo of production and employment. Now we are opening 25 factories with an investment amount of 320 million TL in Çorum. These factories, which produce in many fields from machinery to textiles, from food to construction elements, provide employment for 650 people.” he said.

Pointing out that Çorum increased its exports to 2 billion 600 million dollars in 2021 with an increase of 300 percent compared to the previous year, Varank thanked the investors.

After the opening ceremony, Minister Varank met with business people in the city at a consultation meeting at the Çorum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) conference hall.
