The conference on Export Opportunities and Government Incentives to the Middle East and North Africa was held with the participation of Şanlıurfa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ŞUTSO) Chairman of the Board, İ.Halil Peltek.
The program, which was held in Şanlıurfa Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in cooperation with the international non-governmental organization SPARK and ŞUTSO, with the support of the EU Delegation to Turkey, started with the opening speech of ŞUTSO Chairman of the Board, İ.Halil Peltek. In his speech, President Peltek stated that the current trade potential of the Middle East and North Africa is approximately 1 trillion dollars and that the country currently has a trade volume of only 15 billion dollars, “As a result of such organizations, if we reduce our current volume to 25 percent, it will be approximately 250 billion dollars. We can reach a trade volume. We think why not. We have the raw material, we have the production, we are very close in distance. We will further increase our market volume as a result of mutual trade and investment opportunities and important incentives offered by our government.”
After the opening speech of President İ.Halil Peltek, Turkey – Libya Business Council President Murtaza Karanfil Developments and Business Opportunities in the Libyan Market, Turkey – Iraq Business Council President Halit Acar Developments and Business Opportunities in the Iraqi Market, Turkey – Syria Business Council President İbrahim Fuat Özçörekçi Developments in the Syrian Market and Business Opportunities, GAİB Deputy Secretary General Serdar H. Aydoğan, State Incentives in Exports, Albaraka Türk Bank Regional Manager Ali Güneri made presentations on Alternative Financing Models.
The conference, which was held with the participation of ŞUTSO Board Member Metin Baydar, Assembly Member İ.Halil Şaz and Mustafa Mente, ended after the Networking Cocktail held after the presentations.
