Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank stated that Turkey's first domestic plasma production facility has an investment value of 550 million Euros, and said, "With this facility, blood products that are produced only in 12 centers in the world, which unfortunately could not be produced in Turkey before, will be produced. Minister Varank laid the foundation of the Plasma Products Production Facility, which was implemented in Silivri by the Maxicells company within the scope of the "Plasma Products Production Project", which aims to localize in medicine. Noting that the plasmas obtained from whole blood donations but not used and discarded will be evaluated in this factory, Varank said, "The contributions of this project to the health of our citizens far exceed its economic contribution. Hopefully, under the leadership of Maxicells, Turkey's first blood products biology laboratory will be established and drugs used in the treatment of important diseases will be developed here. Noting that the openings of gigantic facilities have taken place one after the other recently, Varank said, "We are here with the groundbreaking ceremony of the plasma production facility with an investment value of 550 million Euros. A NEW ROADMAP IN SMART LIFE AND HEALTH
Stating that the new roadmap in the field of smart life and health will be announced at the beginning of next year, Varank said, "This year, we called for the development of many products, from hemoglobin to agglutinan serums, from polio vaccines to insulin-containing drugs, from ultrasound devices to computed tomography devices, with the Technology-Oriented Industry Move Program. SUPPORT FOR PROJECTS
Stating that they support clusters of companies in the field of health all over the country, Varank said, "We provide serious support to technology centers that provide thematic incubation services for health technologies such as biotechnology, medicine, medical device, medical and genetics, through KOSGEB. Pharmaceuticals, health and medical sectors. The exemptions and tax advantages we provide to our R&D centers have now exceeded 600 million TL. In addition, we will continue to support R&D projects in the health, medical device and pharmaceutical sectors through TÜBİTAK." he said.

Noting that the ratio of R&D expenditures to national income increased to 1.09 percent in 2020, Varank said, "This rate was only 5 per thousand in 2002. The most important thing is that this R&D expenditure and investments are increasing under the leadership of the private sector. Our private sector realized 65 percent of the financing and 57 percent of the financing." said.
