The Outlook of Unemployment and Employment in Turkey was Discussed

This week's guest of the “Wednesday Meetings” held within the scope of the 7th Term Employment Assistant Specialists Orientation Training was Volkan Öz, our Head of Active Labor Services Department. Öz made a presentation on "The Outlook of Unemployment and Employment in Turkey" between 2000-2019.

The fourth of Wednesday Meetings was held in the Conference Hall of our General Directorate. Volkan Öz, Head of Active Labor Services Department, who was the guest of the meeting, made a presentation on the relationship between unemployment rate and employment, labor productivity and real wages in Turkey during the 2000-2019 period.

Evaluating whether there is a long-term economic relationship between the said variables, Öz; He shared data on the impact of shocks arising from labor productivity, real wages, labor supply and demand, what variables would explain these shocks, whether the labor market returned to equilibrium after the shocks, and the structural course of unemployment and employment.

After the training, our Deputy General Manager Samet Güneş presented a certificate of appreciation to Öz for his participation.
