“We Support Entrepreneurs, R&D Doers, Contributing to Closing the Current Account Deficit”

KOSGEB President Hasan Basri Kurt attended the “GİV Entrepreneurship Awards” ceremony organized by the Entrepreneurial Businessmen Foundation (GİV). Making a speech at the ceremony, KOSGEB President Kurt said that they are always supportive of entrepreneurs, R&D performers and those who contribute to closing the current account deficit in Turkey.

The ceremony held at Konya Selçuklu Congress Center was hosted by Mehmet Koç, President of GIV. In addition to KOSGEB President Kurt, Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan, Science Dissemination Foundation Chairman of the Board of Trustees Bilal Erdoğan, Deputy Minister of Health Şuayip Birinci, Konya Deputy Selman Özboyacı, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, TÜGVA President Enes Eminoğlu and entrepreneurs attended the event.

“We See KOSGEB as an Entrepreneurship Platform”

Emphasizing that they are always supportive of entrepreneurs, R&D performers and those who contribute to closing the current account deficit in Turkey, KOSGEB President Kurt said, “The story of Konya is the story of Turkey, the story of entrepreneurship is the story of those who love Turkey. That story has reached a very good point today. We see KOSGEB not only as a public institution that makes use of its own services and supports, but also as an entrepreneurship platform.”

Kurt continued as follows: As an entrepreneurship platform, we would like to see it as a place where our non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders come and consult on what needs to be done, and contribute to the work to be done for the development of entrepreneurship.

In this sense, we cooperate with many associations and foundations, especially the Entrepreneurial Businessmen Foundation. 15-20 years ago, when we said that we should only educate entrepreneurs and explain them in classes, it is not enough to give one-sided lessons at the point we have come to. We are part of the government that brings together civil society, our citizens and our state. As KOSGEB, we will fulfill this mission to the end.

Ebubekir Eser won the first prize in the "Project-Idea Awards" category with his "MKA AWEG" project. Dr. Faculty Member Mustafa Ünal won the second prize with his project "Development of a New Device for Measuring Bone Strength", with his project "Nano-Material Production for Aesthetic Reconstruction Applications".
