Protocol Signed for the Opening of Dormitory for Girls in Akçakale Vocational School

A protocol was signed with the Akçakale District Governorate for the girls' dormitory needed in our Akçakale Vocational School.

A protocol was signed with the Akçakale District Governorship regarding the refurbishment of the old guesthouse building within the body of our Akçakale Vocational School by our Rectorate and putting it into service as a girls' dormitory.

Akçakale District Governorship, which took over the operation of the dormitory in order to meet the accommodation and subsistence needs of the High School students in the district, also undertook the furnishings and equipment. Thus, a solution was brought to the dormitory problem in the district.

The protocol signing ceremony was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sabri Çelik, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hançer, Akçakale District Governor Oltan Bayraktar, our Secretary General Zübeyir Zorlu, our Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Hasan Akan and our faculty members of the School attended.

Stating that finding a solution to the dormitory problem in the district through cooperation between institutions is a pleasing development, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sabri Celik; “Especially on campus, a decent environment has been created in a safe environment where parents can entrust their children. The opening of the dormitory will provide a more comfortable environment for our students. It will also make it possible to prefer new programs to be opened in the district," he said.

Akçakale District Governor Oltan Bayraktar said, “In all the districts where I worked, finding solutions to the problems of the Vocational School students and supporting education has been a subject that we attach great importance to. We are happy to be instrumental in such a service in Akçakale. Necessary needs were provided for our dormitory, which will be opened within the college campus, to serve under better conditions. I also give the good news that hot meals will be served to the students. Over time, we will also provide scholarships to students with financial difficulties.”

Akçakale Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Hasan Akan; “Since we were appointed to the Akçakale Vocational School Directorate of our university, we have focused on the issues that we see as the most urgent and important shortcomings. We sought to find a solution to our students' accommodation and dormitory problems. In this regard, we have always received the support of our esteemed Rector and District Governor. We are happy that our girls' dormitory was completed in a short time and the protocol was signed. I believe that from now on, we will make the presence of our School more felt in the district, and that we will offer new departments and services.”
