Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank visited the Istanbul Ready-made Clothing and Apparel Exporters' Association (İHKİB) Digital Transformation Center, which will offer experience, development and added value to the sector within the scope of transition to digital transformation in fashion design, production and planning studies in the ready-made clothing industry. Noting that they have brought an important center to Istanbul, Minister Varank said, "We will grow Turkey by producing and hopefully we will succeed in placing it among the top 10 economies of the world in the coming period."
TİM President İsmail Gülle and İHKİB President Mustafa Gültepe accompanied Minister Varank during his visit to the Digital Transformation Center, which is jointly financed by the Republic of Turkey and the European Union, and supported by the "Competitive Sectors Program" carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
FROM THE MOST DYNAMIC SECTORS
Minister Varank, in a statement to the press, stated that as the Ministry of Industry and Technology, they visited the projects they made together with TIM and İHKİB. Emphasizing that ready-made clothing is one of the most dynamic sectors of the country, Varank said, "With this project, which we can call the digital transformation center of the ready-made clothing industry, we brought a center for the digital transformation of the textile, apparel and ready-to-wear industry, where we are particularly strong, together with the European Union, to our Istanbul. Production here with traditional methods. "Our companies, especially our SMEs, will be able to receive training and consultancy that will transform them. Here, they will be able to digitize their products by using the opportunities here, and transfer them to e-commerce platforms and e-export platforms." said.
STARTING THIS MONTH
Stating that the project will start as of this month and companies will have the opportunity to benefit from this center, Varank said, "As you know, as the Ministry of Industry and Technology, we provide support for both the transition to lean production and digital transformation of industries. Our model factory projects are currently ongoing. This is where model factories are located. As an example, it is a center that will carry our businesses to digital transformation, provide consultancy services and provide training to them." he said.

Minister Varank stated that the latest technology products in the Digital Transformation Center affected them and said: "As you know, the textile, apparel and ready-to-wear sectors are among the most important sectors of our country. Last year, we exported close to 31 billion dollars and gave foreign trade surplus, and provided employment to millions of our citizens. "I would like to thank both our TİM president and our Association president. In this way, we attach great importance to implementing projects that will change and transform sectors and provide them with a competitive advantage, especially with NGOs. This is where "We realized the project together with the European Union, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, İHKİB and TİM. We will transform it into a sector with such projects. We will grow Turkey by producing and hopefully we will succeed in placing it among the ten largest economies of the world in the coming period."
COST ADVANTAGE
Pointing out that the Digital Transformation Center is a center that prepares especially small and medium-sized enterprises for digital transformation, Minister Varank concluded his words as follows: "Companies can come here to design and plan their products from yarn to end product to sales, how can they digitize their processes and make them more efficient. They learn. Therefore, a great cost advantage is provided to our companies here. Our companies will be able to market these products only by developing products in digital form without presenting the exemplary product. Here, our companies will easily learn and implement all its methods and processes at this center."
MATURITY ANALYSIS
With the Digital Transformation Center, it is aimed to carry out maturity analyzes of İHKİB member enterprises in the transition to digital transformation, to provide consultancy services with solution partners, and to monitor the results of transformation studies on a company-specific basis. It is aimed to analyze the application examples related to digital transformation on the basis of other sectors, to follow these constantly developing and changing ecosystems on a sectoral basis and to guide them in adapting these technologies to SMEs. Established on an area of 1,250 square meters, the center operates in Yenibosna.

With the photography studio located in the İHKİB Digital Transformation Center, it is aimed to provide experience, development and added value to the sector within the scope of transition to digital transformation in fashion design, production and planning studies in the ready-made clothing sector. While different shooting areas are offered to the sector with the high-tech, holistic automation and endless funding opportunities in the photography studio, the ghost mannequins in the photography studio are diversifying the shooting techniques to provide products suitable for different platforms.
COMPETITIVE SECTORS PROGRAMIE
The Competitive Sectors Program (RSP), implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance with the European Union and Turkey Financial Cooperation (IPA), was basically designed to achieve the goal of increasing Turkey's adaptation to global competition conditions. With the program, it is aimed to increase the competitiveness of Turkey by reducing the foreign trade deficit and increasing efficiency, especially with projects for R&D and innovation.
800 MILLION EURO RESOURCES
In this direction, the Program uses many tools in different fields such as industrial infrastructure, R&D infrastructure, commercialization of R&D products, and creative industries. The Competitive Sectors Programme, which aims to strengthen the capacities of organizations engaged in creative and innovative activities and increase their competitiveness in the domestic and EU market, has supported and continues to support 88 projects with a resource of approximately 800 million Euros to date.
